ITAS Investor, Work Permit & Visa requirements

ITAS Investor
For a foreign national holding shares in a PT PMA who wants to live in Indonesia on the strength of that investment.
- Minimum paid-up share capital of IDR 10 billion under the investor's name
- Company holds an active NIB and business license
- Proof of share ownership in the PT PMA
- Passport valid at least 18 months (1-year ITAS) or 30 months (2-year ITAS)
- Supporting company profile and corporate documents
Work Permit (RPTKA)
Required before a foreign employee can legally work for a company in Indonesia.
- Company holds an active NIB with the relevant KBLI enabled
- Job description and justification for the foreign role
- Knowledge-transfer plan with a designated Indonesian counterpart
- Filed through the Ministry of Manpower's online system before immigration processing
- Position must match the company's approved business activity
Business Visa
For short business trips — meetings, negotiations, or site visits — without taking up local employment.
- Single-entry (index B211B): 60 days, extendable onshore up to 180 days total
- Multiple-entry (index D212): valid 1, 2, or 5 years, 60 days per entry
- Passport valid at least 6 months from the date of entry
- Proof of funds — bank statement showing a minimum balance for the last 3 months
- Requires an Indonesian sponsor
A note on government fees (PNBP)
Each category above also carries official government fees (PNBP) payable directly to Indonesian immigration or manpower authorities — separate from our professional service fee. As a general guide:
- ITAS: typically around IDR 3–7.5 million, depending on category and duration
- RPTKA processing: around IDR 500,000–1,000,000, plus a mandatory foreign-worker levy (DKPTKA) of USD 100 per worker per month
- Business Visa: typically around IDR 1.5–5 million, depending on entry type and duration
